I have been admitted to hospitals, and then not allowed to leave even after multiple tests showed everything was fine. As long as the hospital could run some more expensive (profitable) tests, paid by insurance, I was told that I could not go home because the physician would not release me, and that if I left against the doctor's orders, my insurance would not pay. Then, even after more tests showed no problem, the doctor went home without discharging me, thus billing insurance for another day. Next time I get sick, I'll just take my chances by going to bed at home.jimpurdy1943@yahoo.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12974301744118775363noreply@blogger.com
